Job Profile
We are seeking an experienced and hardworking Denter who will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and restoring the body and structural components of cranes and other lifting equipment. This includes repairing dents, panels, frames, and cabins damaged by accidents or wear, ensuring all equipment maintains a professional appearance and structural integrity in accordance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect crane cabins, booms, counterweights, panels, and chassis for structural damage or corrosion.
- Perform denting, body repair, panel beating, welding, and surface preparation on crane bodies and components.
- Remove and replace damaged parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Straighten and align structural components and frames using hydraulic tools and measuring equipment.
- Work with painters to prepare surfaces for painting and finishing.
- Fabricate and install sheet metal parts and panels when required.
- Ensure all repair work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical technicians during major repair jobs.
- Record all work performed, materials used, and time taken for job tracking.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, especially related to heavy equipment and cranes.
Qualifications
- Preferably a High school diploma or technical certificate in body repair, welding, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bodywork or denting for heavy vehicles, cranes, or construction equipment.
- Expertise in denting, panel beating, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), and body alignment.
- Knowledge of crane or heavy equipment body structures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of painting and surface finishing.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy-duty work.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious attitude.
