Job Profile

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Senior Electrician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on a wide range of earthmoving equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment's. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high- and low-voltage circuits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and trucks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and modifications to electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and technical diagrams.
  • Replace or repair faulty wiring, switches, relays, control panels, and lighting systems.
  • Conduct testing using multimeters, diagnostic tools, and onboard computer systems.
  • Install new electrical systems and components on refurbished or modified equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work logs.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and equipment manufacturer standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, service technicians, and supervisors to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or trade school in electrical or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment electrical repair.
  • Experience with diagnostic software and computerized systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy components, climb machinery, and work in various environments.
