Job Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tender Engineer with international business experience to join our dynamic Commercial Team. This role will play a critical role in the preparation, management, and submission of tender documents, while also analyzing and drafting contractual terms and conditions that will form the basis of future agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Tender preparation & submission:

  • Review and analyze the received tender documents in detail to ensure all technical, commercial, and legal requirements are clearly understood.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and technical teams to prepare and submit competitive, high-quality tender proposals.
  • Develop and review tender documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with the specifications and requirements of the client.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments (technical, operations, procurement, etc.) to gather required information for tender submissions.
  • Compile prequalification documents to demonstrate our company's capability and compliance with client requirements.
  • Ensure all documents are submitted within the specified deadline, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Contractual analysis & drafting:

  • Ensure smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
  • Analyze and interpret the terms and conditions of contracts and other tender documentation.
  • Draft and review contractual terms that form the basis of future agreements, ensuring they align with company policies, risk management strategies, and industry standards.
  • Provide recommendations for contract improvements and highlight any potential issues or red flags.

Reporting and documentation:

  • Maintain an organized archive of all tender documents, contracts and correspondence for future reference and audits.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing the status of tender processes and highlighting key risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to address any challenges in the tender process and provide timely solutions.

Market & industry awareness:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competition and industry developments, particularly in the oil and gas industry and marine construction sectors.
  • Provide input to the commercial team on market conditions and potential opportunities or threats that may affect tendering strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in tender engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry, marine, construction or any other related industry.
  • Hands-on experience in the preparation, submission and management of tenders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Ariba or similar procurement and tender management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus, particularly in global tendering environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
